Develop and Improve Your Relationships by Making People’s Dreams Come True

When you keep everything to a minimum, your relationship with others becomes a support structure. If from time to time you wonder how to become a better partner or best friend, it’s incredibly simple: support their dreams.

It is difficult to achieve something on your own, but even more so when you do not have someone who wants you to do it. You seek that support so that you know that someone is supporting you, and when you receive it, you feel accepted in what you are seeking. People close to you feel the same way and want the same support. If you want to improve your relationship with someone, Chris Guillebeau suggests on his blog that we respect that person’s dreams, but you can:

Find out what they want to be, what they want to be, or what they want to achieve, and then help them do that. Don’t do it for them – after all, it’s their dream – but show interest and offer tangible support. How can you do this today?

Find a way to show your support every day and it will do more than you think. Even a simple supportive text can make someone feel accepted, valued, and more capable of achieving their goals. Provide support and they will always remember it. It’s okay to be realistic with them when necessary, but you never want to be the reason someone doesn’t even try to do what they want.
