No Need to Peel Garlic When Using a Press
Pretty much everything tastes better with fresh garlic, and the garlic press makes it quick and easy to add to any dish. And it might even be easier than you think, because you don’t need to peel the skin when you press on the garlic.
We’ve covered a few tricks for peeling garlic , but I love this one because it doesn’t involve peeling garlic at all . Just stick a clove of garlic in a press and squeeze. Epic writer David Tamarkin shared this advice when he saw a friend doing it:
A friend of mine opened the press. The peel, of course, was inside, without garlic, but almost not torn. None of this, not even a speck, mixed with the minced garlic on the cutting board.
Of course, I had to try it myself, because it seemed too good to be true. But it definitely works, as you can see in the photo above. Just remember: Using a garlic press will also result in a stronger garlic flavor .
