Start10 Brings the Customizable Classic Start Menu Back to Windows 10
Windows 10: While Microsoft has brought the Start menu back to Windows 8.1 and now to Windows 10, it’s still not quite what it used to be. If you don’t like the new look, bring the Windows 7-style Start menu back with Start10.
Start10, the successor to Start8, is still in beta testing, but I’ve tested it on a release version of Windows 10 and it works great. So if you don’t like the new Live Tiles in the Windows 10 Start menu and want something that looks more like the Windows 7 Start menu, Start10 might just be the ticket. It even has a Start button with the ability to change skins. You can take advantage of a 30-day free trial. The purchase price is $ 4.99 (or $ 3.99 when upgrading from Start8).
And don’t forget, it looks like most Windows 8 Start menu replacements work fine with Windows 10 . While Stardock’s offering plays nicely with Windows 10 and remains impeccable , some, like ClassicShell , are free and easy to customize. We’ve talked about several Start menu replacements in the past, so check them out and see which works for you.
