Grill Fresh Herb Stalks, Don’t Throw Them Away
Fresh herbs can add flavor to any dish, especially grilled ones . If you are buying fresh and have stems left, do not throw them away, but throw them on the grill. They will add some smoke and light flavor to whatever you cook.
For example, the next time you use fresh rosemary or thyme in a beef or chicken marinade, leave the stems and place them directly on the coals when adding vegetables to the grill. You will end up with the same flavor in all your grilled dishes, which will help tie them together.
