Use Wonton Wrappers for Hassle-Free Fresh Ravioli
Fresh ravioli are much tastier, but they take a lot of effort to make from scratch. Mario Batali has a shortcut to get the same goodies with less effort: use store-bought wonton wrappers instead of spending all day making pasta dough.
Dust a baking sheet with flour and line the wonton wrappers. Brush each wrapper with water before adding the filling to the middle. Fold each wrapper to make a triangular shape with a delicious filling inside. Cook fresh ravioli as usual. If you need some inspiration for your filling, check out the recipe below.
Although wonton wrappers are usually fried, they hold up the boil for your ravioli (or you can make crispy fried ravioli). You can find Wonton wrappers at your local Asian market or even in the supermarket.
