Open the Door With RFduino and Apple Watch
If you’ve ever wanted to magically open a door with a quick tap on your wrist, this DIY project is for you.
Using RFduino and some custom door components, Mark Jensen, James Squires, and Sean Roske of Make came up with an interesting use of the Apple Watch. Once you’ve set up a door module and set up an app on your iPhone and Apple Watch, you can unlock that door with a single tap. The downside, of course, is that you must have an Apple Watch to use this build. However, if you have one and are eager to do something with it, this might be ideal for you.
