Upgrade Your Refrigerator Lighting With LED Strip

Most of us probably haven’t thought about updating the lighting in our fridges, but the next time you wonder how you forgot about those leftovers or old spoiled food in the back of the cabin, this update might come in handy. All it takes is a nested LED strip, some research, a few details, and a little time.

Instructables user davidandora explains that you need to do a little research before starting this project, but once you know where your refrigerator’s internal power connectors are, it’s a super-easy upgrade. You will need a silicone or epoxy led strip, a 12V DC transformer, a lamp socket adapter (so you can plug it all into your existing light and switch in your refrigerator), and a power outlet that will allow you to continue working. use the light bulb you have and the one that is connected to the adapter. Anything you need can be picked up from Amazon, and davidandora includes links in its step-by-step guide.

You can see where this is heading: With existing lighting and customization, your LED strip will turn on when you open the door and turn off when you close it. This way, you don’t need a new switch, and the upgrade doesn’t take a lot of power. A complete set of instructions will walk you through installing the tape (which is thin enough to fit under and behind the fresher drawers and shelves without getting in the way) and connecting it and the adapter to your existing refrigerator lamp. It even shows you how to do the wiring (if necessary). Click on the link below to check it out.
