Start Your Morning Right With the RISE Method
The morning sets the course for your day, so how you start is important. There are several factors that help ensure a calm and enjoyable morning. Use the RISE method to remember what to do when you wake up.
We have suggested most of the habits mentioned in this mnemonic trick. “RISE” is a little on the nose, but knowing what each letter stands for can help you remember what you must do each morning to start your day right.
“R” means to refrain from pressing the snooze button.
The “I” stands for “Increase activity in the first hour”. This refers to exercise right after waking up, or just a short walk.
The letter “S” stands for shower.
The letter “E” stands for “Expose to Sunlight”.
The letter “U” means that you are listening to “optimistic” music.
The letter “P” stands for “Call a Friend”. … … because talking to someone makes you pay more attention.
Your morning routine may vary, but it will at least help you move in the right direction. For more information, go to the full version of the message at the link below.
