Perfectly Line up Round Parchment Paper Cake Tins Every Time
Anyone who bakes brownies knows that parchment paper is the key to keeping the cake from sticking, but carving out a perfect circle, not too large or too small, can be the hardest part of the process. This tip simplifies the task.
Luckily, Justin Chapple of Food & Wine’s Mad Genius Tips is here to show you the easiest way to carve those perfect parchment circles. Watch the video above to see this technique in action, but this is just a short cut of the scissors.
Justin cuts off a larger piece of parchment paper than he needs and then folds it in half twice before folding it diagonally like a paper airplane. After all this, you will be left with a piece of parchment that looks like a tie. Put the tip in the center of the cake pan and cut along the very edge. Unroll it all and voila: you have a parchment circle that will fit every time.
