Google May Offer “Did You Mean” Suggestions When Searching on Android
Google’s “Perhaps You Meant” feature is a handy way to avoid having to remember how to spell words correctly. Now, it looks like Google is expanding its auto-complete suggestions on Android even before you’ve finished your search.
Google’s predictive features are much more effective on the desktop, where Google can enter results as you type. On mobile, however, it is more difficult to answer before giving it. However, it seems like a good step in that direction. As Android Police points out, this feature only appears on certain devices, so it could be a slow rollout from Google, or it could just be an A / B test to see if users like it. I’ve personally seen this on my own device and it’s pretty handy, so hopefully other users will also appreciate this feature.
