Donate Unused School Supplies to Avoid Clutter and Benefit
Half-filled notebooks, pencil stubs and broken crayons – when school is over, kids come home with too many things. If you can’t reuse these school supplies, consider donating them to a good cause.
The Nice Guys at Unclutterer have suggestions for reusing typical school supplies, such as turning pieces of crayon into larger chalk symbols, but if you just don’t need more clutter in your house, they also mark a few places where different items can be placed. Crazy Crayons , for example, will take crayons, and Operation Give donates various items, including notebooks, to the US military.
Ask your child to help donate supplies and this is also a lesson in charity.
