Clean the Toilet With a Mop and a Plastic Bag If You Don’t Have a Plunger
As everyone knows, the plunger uncertainty principle states that you may know where the plunger is, or you may need the plunger, but never both. If you have a clogged toilet and can’t find the plunger, place a plastic bag over the mop to finish the job.
As ICanDoThatPlumbing demonstrates above, many small blockages can be removed with a mop covered with a plastic bag. Simply slide a plastic bag (or several) over the squeegee head and place it completely in the drain. While not as effective at creating a vacuum as a piston, it can still do a pretty good job of clearing small blockages.
