Abstract Desktop
The GiacomoLawrance desktop is a lot of fun: some abstract shapes, active widgets on the screen, and shortcuts and information in plain sight when you need them. This is how he arranged it.
This desktop isn’t that hard to customize, you just need the right components. This is Windows, and here’s what you should pick:
- MD Blue Marble Wallpaper by Martin Dörsch
- Tool setting and monitoring system for Rainmeter for Windows
- Radial Clock Skin for Rainmeter for the clock in the upper left corner
- Simple Media Skin for Rainmeter for the weather in the lower left corner of the screen
- VIsBubble skin for Rainmeter for a visualizer around the Earth in the center of the screen
- Rainmeter Honeycomb skin for the app launcher on the right side of the screen.
- Rainmeter Elegance 2 skin for date in the upper right corner of the screen
That’s all. There are a couple of moving parts, but collectively they look great and get the job done, not to mention they use great wallpaper to add a dynamic glow to the workspace. If you have questions about how to do this, or how to make your own rig look and work like it, visit the GiacomoLawrance Flickr page below – this is where you’ll want to ask your questions.
