Puff Pastry Waffles – the Easiest and Most Delicious Breakfast Ever
Stuffed waffles oozing nutella, fruit, or mascarpone make a great choice for a weekend brunch. Swap out puff pastry for traditional waffle dough and it can be decadent or lazy.
Since the puff pastry comes out of the freezer ready to eat, you only need to worry about the filling. To make a DIY waffle maker (perfect for both kids’ sleepovers and adult brunches), simply lay out baking sheets and plates with delicious toppings. Be sure to include savory and sweet ones; banana and nutella are a winning combination, but apricot jam brie or even a simple ham and cheese waffle is a good start to the day.
After cutting the dough to the size of the iron and filling it with the ingredients of your choice, squeeze it and let it cook for five minutes. Open it and receive a rewarding puff pastry waffle (also known as “puffle”) filled with everything your dreams are made of.
