Throw Away Suitcases of Portable Power Tools to Save Workshop Space
Most power tools have a beautiful case that is attached to the tool and keeps them in a safe and secure place. But these suitcases can double or triple the volume of the tool itself, and in a small workshop, size matters. Throw away those space-consuming cases and free up store space.
It might sound blasphemous to offer this, but unless you’re a contractor on the move, your tools probably don’t go outside your workshop that often. If you need them for a housework project, you can just take them there and they don’t need extra protection.
Instead, store power tools in cabinets and drawers so that they can be easily accessed and tool boxes can be thrown away. However, retain all instructions, warranty information, and accessories. You can toss them into a zippered bag and tag the bag with the name of the tool.
