Bucket Scan Travel Suggestions for Your Itinerary
Planning a trip usually requires research. You will probably read an article on the best places to visit in your destination. You can ask your Facebook friends for advice. Bucket scans and tracks these recommendations to help you plan your route.
To get started, you register via Facebook or email through their website. Then add and name your trip, which is easy enough. From here, Bucket currently operates four sites: Foursquare, TripAdvisor, Airbnb, and Facebook Pages. You enter the URL of a web page and Bucket will scan the page for the points of interest. Or you can download the Chrome extension and just click the Chrome button when you’re on the page.
From there, a separate tab will open, which will list all the places found with reviews, photos and information. You simply choose which places you want to add to your “bucket” (which is your destination). You can view your cart as a gallery or map, and share it with your friends if they want to add places too.
It only works when you ask for it, so there is no life in your email or Facebook accounts. You can read their terms and conditions and privacy policy here . It is currently in beta, so it is limited to viewing from these four sources (although for Northern California destinations, it works with any webpage). They have more details on this in their FAQ .
