This Tool Finds the Highest Salary Colleges in Your Area
If you have an idea of what you want to study but are unsure of which school to go to, this U.S. Department of Education scorecard can help you. A few clicks and you can see the average salary of graduates in your field and what your school’s graduate performance looks like.
If you or your child chooses one of the schools, this tool will help you decide which one is most likely to receive a decent salary in your specialty. You can search by state or region and see the average salary of graduates ten years after they started school, your graduation rate, average annual spending, typical debt, and the percentage of students receiving federal aid. With all this information, you will be able to see which schools are likely to bring you the best return on your (or your parents’) investment.
Of course, when choosing a school, you should consider not only your potential earnings. But it doesn’t hurt to remember how much you will earn after graduation when you have to pay back those student loans.
