Set up a Powerful Electric Vehicle Charging Station at Home
The popularity of electric vehicles is growing and public charging stations are popping up everywhere in malls and grocery stores. This old house shows us how to set up a charging station in your own home.
Electric vehicle chargers that plug into a standard 120V outlet can charge your vehicle for hours. Cut your charging time in half or more by connecting the 30A / 240V charger directly to your home power outlet.
To do this, you must have some experience with electrical work or hire an electrician. You will need to run a 2-wire (grounded) 8-gauge wire from the charging station to the service panel, which should then be equipped with a 240 volt breaker.
Once you’ve set up your electrical system, you can attach the charger to the wall. The video can be found at the link below and it will walk you through the entire process.
