Home Improvement Projects You Can Get Your Kids to Help With

Getting children to help around the house is generally good. While home improvement projects may seem more dangerous than regular household chores, even young children can help with your renovation.

Warning: this of course depends on the ability of your children and their ability to follow your instructions. You can’t just give a small child a drill or a sledgehammer and walk away. But there are a surprising number of design problems that they can solve with or without your leadership.

The Realty Times recommends, for example, painting walls, lifting carpet and other demolition work, removing wallpaper and even installing wood floors (working near you) or installing mosaic tiles on a kitchen backsplash.

From my experience helping my dad renovate his house, it is an inspiring experience for the kids. In addition, the less wallpaper you have to demolish yourself, the better.
