Depending on what you need, a good car mount for your phone can be durable or simple, easy to install, portable, or nearly permanent. Last week, we asked you to choose the best car mounts for smartphones , and you’ve given us numerous nominations. We’ve reviewed five of the best car mounts for smartphones , put them to a vote, and are back to make you stand out as a whole.

Lightweight, portable and affordable, the Kenu glider took first place in our survey with just over 23% of the vote. Its simple design, support for almost any type of smartphone, ease of connection and portability earned a lot of support in the chain of nominations and in the final round.

However, none of our opponents got a huge margin, and if you really look at it, the vote was largely split by five. That’s not bad – we had vent mounts, suction cup mounts, magnetic mounts, and some mounts that let you mount them on your car! In second place with just under 23% of the votes (the difference between number one and number two was 13 votes) was the wildly popular Ram Mount RAM X-GRIP , which was a hot topic of discussion in the comments. You can find an X-GRIP that fits in your cup holder with one of those “bags” that you can attach anywhere, like a suction cup mount or whatever, and many of you have praised them for being enough durable to take with you on motorcycles, off-roading and other crazy locations. Third place went to the iOttie Easy One Touch 2 , a simple suction cup mount that also features a telescopic adjustable arm that allows you to place your phone wherever you need it. He received just over 22% of the vote. Fourth place and 18% of the vote went to the Mpow Grip Magic Air Vent Magnetic Car Mount , a simple magnetic mount that attaches to the air vent and includes a magnetic card or glue to securely connect your phone while driving. At the back with 14% of the vote is the Mountek nGroove Grip , a more standard clip-on mount that can keep your phone strong and durable while driving.
