Input for IOS Is a Universal App for Creating Tasks, Messages, Notes, and More.

iOS: Sometimes you just need to quickly add an event to your calendar, create a new Evernote note, or send a super-simple email from your phone, but you don’t want to open a particular app. Typing simplifies this process.

Typing is like drafts where the idea is to make it a one-stop shop for quickly sending text from one app to several others. Typing is a little easier to use than drafts because once the services are connected, you get shortcuts to add to them with simple text commands. For example, you can enter something like “calendar appointment at 9 AM Wednesday” to add the event to your calendar, then add “evernote-add meeting notes, ask about dinosaur hunting” to add a line to the meeting notes into Evernote, then finally enter “idle reminder @ here, don’t forget to meet dinosaurs” to let everyone in Slack know about the meeting.

You do all of this from one command line in the application (typing also automatically prompts for commands, so don’t worry about remembering them). There are not a ton of services or commands at the moment, but there are enough of them to see how useful such an application is. You get two apps for free communication with Input, but you’ll have to pay $ 1.99 to add three more.
