Secure the Warped Cutting Board With a Damp Cloth and Iron.

Wooden cutting boards can easily warp if too much moisture gets on them for a long time. Luckily, you can fix this by twisting it with a couple of household items.

Despite what you may have heard, a warped cutting board is not irreparable as long as the deformation is not too severe. If your roommate left your chopping board in the sink with water for a few days, it might be too late, but otherwise Leslie Stevens of Food52 suggests ironing it:

To secure the warped wood plank, place a damp cloth over the warped area and iron it like any fabric. Repeat until the board is deformed. Once the base is gone, let it dry completely before using.

When you’re ready to let it dry, Grant Chen of CuttingBoard.com recommends putting some weight on it to keep it dry. However, you must be careful when ironing a cutting board because it can crack if you try to deform it too quickly. If so, you can still do something about it . Cutting boards can last for generations if cared for properly , so don’t throw them away until you know they can’t be saved.
