Use Magic Erasers to Clean Sneakers, Grout and Keyboard
We know the “Magic Erasers” Mr. Clean like white pads with a shiny bald man telling you to remove scratches from the walls.
But these little scrubbers, known as “melamine foam sponges,” can clean much more than walls and baseboards.
The first and most important technique that we learned when working with sponges is to buy them in bulk under their general name on the Internet. You will pay less than half the price for an eraser. If you buy a large piece of foam and cut your own erasers, you will save even more.
Once you’ve soaked the melamine foam and squeezed out excess water, you can clean any surfaces. We removed the ink from the white fabric, cleaned the canvas trainers, bleached the bathroom solution, refreshed the coffee pot in the office, and removed any residual marks from the keyboard. Just be sure to dry any surface that doesn’t need to stay wet and don’t use it on your computer screen. These erasers also tend to whiten , which is great for things like white fabric, walls, and shoes, but always check a small area first to make sure nothing has changed.
And a little note about using one of these on skin: some places suggest using magic erasers to remove ink from skin. Melamine can cause reactions in children and people with sensitive skin, so please do not rub your hands with it violently.
