Got This Thing, Is Filling Your Schedule so You Can Waive Any Commitments
If you have obligations and commitments that you just don’t want to fulfill, you need a decent excuse to give them up. Got This thing can fill your Google calendar with real events around you so you can show people that you are too busy to do what they ask.
This post is part of our Evil Week series on Lifehacker where we take a look at the dark side of goal achievement. Sometimes evil is justified, and sometimes knowing evil means knowing how to defeat it. I want more? Visit our wicked week tags page .
The web app, built by Nat Tousen, Juan Lopez, Sasha Mombartz, Adam Goldstein, and Evan Kaufman, pulls data from services like Eventbrite and Kimono Labs to populate your Google Calendar. All you have to do is go to the Got This Thing app page and click the Get Busy button. When you’re ready to clear your schedule again, simply click the Clear button and whatever GTT has added will be gone. In the settings, you can even specify what types of events you want GTT to add to make it look more believable. This is a small team and quite new, so there may still be a few issues to be addressed, but a mobile app is on its way. Check it out at the link below and start saving your time.
