Eat Muesli Whenever You Want With This Super Fast Cooker Recipe
Homemade granola can be much better boxed, but the hour of work required for most recipes means you have to plan ahead. If you’re not that good at foresight, don’t worry! Food 52 is all set: their muesli can be cooked in less than half the time using the stove, not the oven.
To make a super fast ( and infinitely customizable ) Granola, you’ll need:
- Wide pan
- 2 tablespoons fat (butter, coconut oil, etc.)
- 2 teaspoons sweetener (maple syrup is my favorite)
- 1/2 glass of rolled
- Nuts and other add-ons
- Spices
Click the link below to view the full recipe (and ingredient ideas), but the basic sequence is as follows: add fat and sweetener to a saucepan over medium to low heat and stir until pretty and runny. Add grains and a pinch of salt and cook until golden brown (8-10 minutes). Add any nuts and seeds you like and cook for a couple more minutes. Transfer to a baking sheet, sprinkle with your favorite spices (or fried coconut and chocolate chips!) And cool for 5-10 minutes. Break it up and toss it in yogurt or milk for a delicious homemade breakfast. (Or grab a snack anytime; muesli shouldn’t be limited in the morning.)
