Google Introduces YouTube Red, Ad-Free & Offline Video Subscription
Tired of waiting to miss YouTube ads? Want to be able to save YouTube videos and music offline, or keep playing when your mobile screen is off? YouTube Red may be the subscription for you, and it includes a Google Play Music subscription for the same price as Play Music alone.
YouTube Red eliminates some of YouTube’s main inconveniences: interrupted ads, the need to be online, and music and videos stop playing when you open other apps or turn off the screen on your phone. With your subscription, the videos will not contain any advertisements (whether they are at the beginning of the video, banner ads, ads in videos with overlaid text, etc.). You will be able to save videos or playlists offline for up to 30 days on YouTube for Android or iOS, and background playback will also only work in the Android or iOS mobile app.
The service costs $ 9.99 per month and starts on October 28 in the United States. However, it also includes a Google Play Music subscription (unlimited music streaming without ads) which costs $ 9.99 anyway. So if you’re interested in a Play Music subscription, it’s not difficult. And if you already have a Google Play Music subscription, you get YouTube Red for free (cute!).
