Turn a Bunch of Old Laptop LED Screens Into Fake Window Light
If you enjoy working at night or your room doesn’t have windows to the sun, it can be difficult to get natural light. This four laptop LED screen light bar looks like a window and can give you the light you need.
There are many interesting ways to repurpose an old laptop , but a broken monitor narrows the list somewhat. This DIY Perks YouTube project uses LED monitors for any old laptop and integrates them into a very bright window lightbar. You will need to remove the screens from the laptop cases, get hold of some cheap electronic components, tape the screens together (it uses duct tape), and do some simple soldering. Once completed, however, your false window will emit a very bright white light, and the diffuse layers will even give the panels a cool 3D depth effect. Now you can read, work and relax as if you had a beautiful window facing the sun.
