Vinyl Desktop
The Ilango Windows 10 desktop may not look like Windows 10, but it reflects his love of music. A visualizer that moves with rhythm and a couple of widgets do it all great. This is how he arranged it.
You don’t need to have Windows 10 to do this – just any Windows computer. In fact, we’re willing to bet that you can do the same on OS X or Linux with GeekTool, Übersicht, or Conky, but this desktop was created with Rainmeter. Here’s what you need to get the same look:
- Vinyl Wallpaper by Wallhaven
- Tool setting and monitoring system for Rainmeter for Windows
- ClearText skin for Rainmeter for the widget “Today marks ” on the desktop.
- Do I need a jacket? Rainmeter skin for simplified weather forecast on the left side of the screen
- Drizzle Skin for Rainmeter to display time and date
- Rainmeter VisBubble Skin for Animated Renderer in the post on the right side of the screen
There are a few moving parts, but the end result looks so well put together and perfect – it just works. Wallpaper and renderer, and even time and date look great together. This setup is perfect for a second screen or to get a glimpse of it when you’re not working on your computer and doing something else. It is well designed anyway and we love it. If you do that too, head over to Ylango’s Flickr page (link below) and let him know you’re doing it!
