Handcrafted on Amazon Helps You Sell Your Home Products

Selling things that you have done yourself is not news on the Internet. However, the largest retailer on the internet is now playing the game with Homemade at Amazon.

The new service allows existing or new sellers to apply for a special type of handcrafted item placement. The service is currently accepting applications, but sellers must be approved before their ads can be published. At least for now, it seems like Amazon is pretty strict about the definition of “handmade”. No mass-produced items or items assembled from kits. This is in stark contrast to main competitor Etsy’s move in the opposite direction (although, of course, Amazon already sells mass-produced goods, so this isn’t a big sacrifice).
