Pink Carpenter’s Workspace
The workspace featured today is a wood workshop that manages to combine girly pink accent walls with sharp, powerful tools.
The shop is owned by CC Boyce of Few Bits in Los Angeles. She makes flowerpots, lighting fixtures and furniture by hand, and somehow manages to keep her workplace clean, tidy and beautiful in a very industrial space. From an interview conducted as part of the Apartment Therapy tour:
The biggest challenge: to create a wooden workshop from literally nothing. All I was given were 4 ugly drywall walls. Dirt, duct tape, priming and painting these 10ft walls alone was a ton of work and took forever, but I knew it was worth it. After setting up the site, I spent months on Craigslist and eBay every day looking for quality machines and tools. Along the way, I built the required storage and modified the floor plan to suit my workflow.
Just shows how even a small piece of paint can make a big difference in any space.
