How to Get Rid of Frequently Visited Sites in Mobile Safari
When you open a new tab in Safari on iOS, the most frequently visited sites are usually shown to you. If your mobile browsing is as weird and random as mine, it’s usually a jumble of websites that you don’t actually visit that often. Luckily, you can turn it off.
The iOS new tab page is filled with both frequently visited and featured sites. I personally don’t like any of this. You can get rid of your favorites by pressing and holding the icon in Safari and then selecting the delete option. To get rid of Frequently Visited, go to Settings> Safari and turn off the Frequently Visited Sites switch. This will give you back a sense of privacy and prevent all those weird and wild mobile searches that you run on your new tab page from showing up.
