Learn the Basics of Making Effective Lists in This One-Minute Video
We’ve covered a lot of tips on how to make great lists, but if you want to quickly brush up on the basics, Flickley’s short video is a good place to start.
None of the tips are particularly new, but they are good advice nonetheless, for example:
- Choose digital or paper first – or perhaps even use them separately .
- Create separate lists for daily, monthly and yearly tasks. Maybe strengthen it with the rule of three .
- Highlight your tasks and prioritize .
- Don’t be vague. Break big goals into concrete small actions .
- For each task, estimate and write down how long you will need .
- Don’t be intimidated by your list, start with a small task and build momentum .
- Don’t delete completed cases. Instead, turn it into a Completed List to see what you’ve accomplished.
The video is a quick guide, but you can check any of the links above for more information on a specific step.
