How to Transfer Playlists From Rdio to Spotify
Rdio is closing its doors , but that doesn’t mean you have to permanently lose those playlists. It is quite easy to convert and transfer these playlists from Rdio to Spotify. Here’s how to do it.
Despite what you might think, converting playlists from one music service to another is not ideal. It takes a bit of work to properly map one database to another. After trying several different options, I’ve had the most success with Spotificator . It’s easy to use:
- Head to Spotificator .
- Click the Start button and sign in to your Spotify account (if you don’t already have one, create a Spotify account now ).
- Select Rdio and sign in to your account.
- Select the playlists you want to send to Spotify and click Export to Spotify.
That’s it, Spotificator will do the trick and send those playlists, giving you a breakdown of which tracks go into it and which don’t. Anything not, you will need to add to Spotify manually. I’ve had about 90% success with Spotificator, but your experience will be different. If you have a lot of trouble with this, try another import service like Soundiiz , or try manually with Ivy . If you are stuck with Apple Music for some reason , try Move to Apple Music .
Update: Spotify now has its own tool and it works great. Try it first.
