As PureWow demonstrates, KonMari technology allows T-shirts and other clothing to be folded compactly and vertically. You can fold a stack of shirts into a small drawer and still see the hem of each shirt. You may not be able to see every detail of the design, but this is an easy way to immediately understand which shirt you are choosing from a large collection.
