Dehydrate Fruit in the Microwave Using the Defrost Setting
If you don’t have a device designed to dehydrate your favorite healthy snack, the microwave defrost setting can work as a last resort.
Food dehydrators can be expensive, and buying prepackaged dried fruit can add up over time. This is why Sarah Jampel of Food52 has come up with a clever workaround – using an excellent drying device that almost everyone already has: the microwave. Using the defrost setting, you can dehydrate thin fruit slices in 30 minutes. Some juicier fruits may take longer, but will probably take no more than 45 minutes to get the desired consistency. This is not the most effective method in the world, but it can help if you have no other choice . Follow the link below to find out more.
