White Vinyl Desktop
We’ve seen some great desktops around turntables and turntables, but I love this one because I have the same wallpaper. I don’t have the same widgets as Ben K , although I may be fixing that soon. This is how he arranged it.
Ben runs this on a Mac if you can’t tell, with a good dose of Übersicht tuned for dark and light spots on the wallpaper. If you want the same look or feel, here’s what you’ll need:
- White vinyl wallpaper from this Reddit thread
- Übersicht , the OS X customization package we have already presented
- Word clock widget for center time
- Memory bar widget and disk usage bar for system monitors in the upper right corner.
- Load and Load Chart widgets for CPU usage in the lower right corner.
- Playbox widget for displaying “Now Playing” information in the lower left corner.
Fast and messy, though you’ll need to tweak and reposition the widgets a bit to make things look exactly the same. If you have questions or like what Ben has done here, be sure to check out his blog Kinja (link below) to let him know what you think!
