Twitter for Mac Finally Updated to Support New Twitter Features
Mac: It’s been a long time since Twitter didn’t bother doing anything with its Mac app, let alone anything substantial. This time, the app does have some benefits, supporting many of Twitter’s new features.
The new app supports many of the various Twitter features that have been rolled out to web and mobile over the past year. It now supports inline video playback, GIFs, group messages, quoting tweets, and mute functionality. Along with supporting the now archaic feature list, it comes with a new design to suit Yosemite / El Capitan, a dark theme and a Today widget. The app still somehow lacks basic features like Twitter polling support or El Capitan’s split screen support, but at least it’s not an obvious ditching of the software anymore.
