Swingdo and Swingmail Team up for Email and Task Management
iOS: It’s not hard to find email and to-do apps on the iPhone, but Swingdo and Swingmail work really well together. The apps support multiple email and calendar services so you can manage your email and things in one place, and see what appointments you have.
The video above shows you how Swingdo works, and the video below gives you a quick tour of Swingmail before you try them out (both apps are from Japanese developer BHI, so sorry for the awkward English). Swingmail supports Gmail and Google Apps, Microsoft and Outlook, Yahoo, iCloud, and more, and even connects to Twitter, for those of you who use it to stay in touch with friends as much as you can by email. …
Swingdo automatically connects to your calendar (and Swingmail), so you can turn emails into important tasks and reminders, and any calendar appointments you schedule pop up on your to-do list. You’ll get reminders, and the app supports Apple Watch, so you’ll also get notifications on your wrist if you have one. Swingdo uses context from your emails, appointments, and Twitter messages to schedule these tasks with titles, descriptions (which you might want to edit), and the location associated with the event. When you’re done with an event or activity, simply swipe to close it.
After all, you can use one app or the other, but they both work so well together that it helps to try both out and see if it can replace the email or to-do app you’re currently using. The best benefit is that when all of this is set up, you will have one constant stream of all your to-do, calendar appointments, etc., taken from all of your different email addresses, which is a huge improvement over switching calendars to see specific events.
