Prevent IOS From Resizing Background Wallpapers With Screenshot

When you try to use a small image as a background on iOS, it automatically zooms in and resizes the image. It’s annoying if you’re trying to use a non-portrait image. OS X Daily has a simple workaround.

Basically, you just need to take a screenshot to fit the screen.

  1. Find the photo you want in the Photos app and open it.
  2. Tap the image to make the editing tools disappear.
  3. Press the Home and Power buttons to take a screenshot.
  4. Go back to your photo library, tap the new screenshot, tap the Share button and choose Set as Wallpaper.

This will get rid of the strange zoom, although there will be a black border around it. However, it is better than the alternative.
