Prevent IOS From Resizing Background Wallpapers With Screenshot
When you try to use a small image as a background on iOS, it automatically zooms in and resizes the image. It’s annoying if you’re trying to use a non-portrait image. OS X Daily has a simple workaround.
Basically, you just need to take a screenshot to fit the screen.
- Find the photo you want in the Photos app and open it.
- Tap the image to make the editing tools disappear.
- Press the Home and Power buttons to take a screenshot.
- Go back to your photo library, tap the new screenshot, tap the Share button and choose Set as Wallpaper.
This will get rid of the strange zoom, although there will be a black border around it. However, it is better than the alternative.
