Remember Your Dreams by Telling Them Like Stories
If you want to remember your dreams, a dream diary is for you. However, if you find it difficult to retell your dreams while writing, try writing in present tense as if it were a story that is happening to you right now.
A therapist friend of mine offered this advice when I complained that I could not remember a dream. She noted that writing in the present tense helps you better remember and relive your dream experiences. I’ve tried this for a few nights and it works surprisingly well. Of course, it also helps to write as soon as possible after waking up.
If you are recording your dreams, try it next time you write.
