Add Ghee With Spices for a Tastier Baked Product.
There is nothing wrong with traditional sugar cookies, but if you are looking for a way to stand out from the cookie exchange, consider adding some sautéed butter with spices.
Epicurious has some fantastic tips to spice up your holiday baked goods (check them out by clicking the link below), but my favorite is their suggestion of not only toasting butter for baking, but adding delicious spices to it. The best part? This can be done with any recipe that uses ghee. Just toss it in the pan along with the spices and let everyone get to know each other until it’s golden and flavorful. (Green cardamom pods, whole cloves, broken cinnamon sticks, and halved vanilla pods are all good options.) Hot liquid oil extracts aromatic oils, resulting in deep, hot flavors of cooking oil.
