Sign up Your Child for a Free Hour of Apple’s Coding Workshop

If you happen to be near the Apple Store with your child next Thursday, December 10th, why not stop by and give your child a one-hour free introduction to computer programming? Registration is open today.

The hands- on session will be based on the teaching materials of Code.org , so technically you can just leave your children at home and teach one of the Hour of Code lessons on your own with your child. But there is something about being at a table full of other kids working on their own projects, which makes learning even more meaningful for the kids.

Depending on the store you choose, for kids ages six and up, time slots are available during the day and evening. If your child is already familiar with programming , this is probably not for him. But otherwise it could be a great introduction to programming for young kids (perhaps while you’re shopping at the Apple Store or participating in your own hour of code).
