Build a Video Surveillance System With Multiple Cameras and Motion Sensor With Raspberry Pi
The Raspberry Pi is really easy to use to build a cheap single camera surveillance system , but it gets complicated if you need multiple cameras. On Pyimagesearch, they found a way to do this.
The setup here uses USB webcams that plug into a motion detector script and then fire through the Pi so you can monitor the whole thing in real time. This is not an overly complex project, but you will still need some command line knowledge to get through it. If you’ve wanted to run multiple surveillance cameras on your Pi for a long time, this is one of the easiest ways we’ve seen to do this.
