Submit Application Crash Reports to Action Center in OS X
Usually, when an application crashes on OS X, you get a pop-up warning from the Crash Reporter in the middle of the screen. This isn’t always the best place to do this, and if you’d rather have an alert in your Notification Center, Defaults-Write will show you how.
To change the crash report pop-up screen to Notification Center, you need to use the Terminal command. Open Terminal (Applications> Utilities) and enter the following:
the default is com.apple.CrashReporter UseUNC 1
When you’re done, reboot. Your crash reports will now show up as notifications. To get it back, just replace 1
with 0
at the end of the command and run it again.
