How to Broadcast Today’s State Address on the Internet Online, No Cable Required

President Obama’s final State of the Union address tonight begins at 9:00 pm ET (6:00 pm PT). While many major networks support it, you don’t need to rely on broadcast or cable to watch. Here’s how to stream it online for free.

We’ve talked about how to broadcast a bunch of recent Republican / Democratic debate, but since this is the latest state of the Obama union (and the media buzz implies this won’t be your usual applause holiday), you might want to tune in to that too. Point your browsers, smart TVs, Chromecast devices and set-top boxes in the following directions:

Embeddings on the White House site and YouTube channel will be the same (if no problem), so if one doesn’t work, try the other one here. As we mentioned, the address will also broadcast on most major networks, although they will likely be interrupted for comments and advertisements, so internet streaming is your best bet out there. Some of these networks (notably ABC News and NBC News ) have not yet set up streams for the address, but they may be streaming live on their sites, so check if you have any issues with any of the above.

At the end of the celebration, the president will give interviews to a number of YouTubers, answering questions from viewers. If this isn’t your bag, check out the Republican response from South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley on the Republican House of Representatives website .
