Use Cortana to Identify the Song You Are Listening To
Cortana says, “Ask me anything,” so why not ask her, “What is this song?” if you are listening to music whose name you do not know.
If you have Hey Cortana turned on, you can simply say that to launch the assistant and then ask “what song is this” so Cortana will try to identify it, the album, and the artist name. Otherwise, tap the microphone and ask.
MakeUseOf notes that she was pretty good with popular songs, but not some obscure things. This was my experience.
That said, unless you’re using something like Shazam , you have a built-in Windows Music ID. Perfect for when you are in a coffee shop or hear an advertisement and wonder what song you are listening to.
