Chill the Soda Faster by Wrapping It in a Damp Paper Towel
If you have a can of soda or beer that you want to chill quickly, wrap it in a damp paper towel before tossing it into the freezer.
As shown in the video (at about 0:50), a soda can wrapped in a damp paper towel and placed in the freezer for 15-20 minutes will chill about 10 degrees more than an unpackaged can. Of course, if you’re in even more of a hurry, nothing beats a bucket of ice cold water with a little salt .
