Automatically Pause Audiobooks and Podcasts When Apple Maps Provides Navigation Hints
If you’re listening to a podcast or audiobook on your iPhone, and also getting directions through Apple Maps, you know how annoying it is when the navigator’s voiceover speaks over another audio. Our friends at How-To Geek point out that you can pause audio playback instead.
Go to Settings> Maps, then set the Pause Sound toggle to On. Now, instead of muffling the audio of the podcast when displaying navigation tips, it pauses everything together. It’s a pretty sweet option, especially if you hate this cacophony of sounds that happens otherwise.
