How to Get Amazon Subscription and Savings Discount and Two-Day Shipping From Prime

Amazon will save you 5% on certain items if you sign up for their Sign Up and Save Shipping program. It’s pretty sweet, except it doesn’t automatically give you free 2-day shipping if you have a Prime account. Here’s how to get both.

If you want to subscribe to an element but you are an impatient type, reader Tommy has found a super simple workaround:

1. Add the item to your cart as a one-time purchase instead of clicking Subscribe and Save on the item page.
2. Make sure you have two-day free shipping selected when you checkout.
3. Below the shipping options, you should see a checkbox labeled “Add subscription using subscription and save”. If you check it out, you get 5% off while still getting free two-day Prime shipping.

This trick is an easy way to save some money on items to subscribe to and keep without sacrificing perks you already pay for. Just remember to unsubscribe after the first delivery if you don’t really want to have a subscription to the item.
