You Can Pay for TSA Pre-Screening With Your Alaska Airlines Miles Before the End of April
Precheck the TSA – it’s a great tool to save time, which allows you to go through the service of airport security without spending a familiar song and dance when removing shoes and wait in a long queue. It usually costs $ 85, but until the end of April, Alaska Airlines will allow frequent flyers to pay this tax with miles.
Despite its name, Alaska Airlines flies to many destinations outside of Alaska , and if you travel frequently from the west coast, you’ve probably flown with them before. If you’re a member of their travel rewards program, here’s the TSA perk they offer for the next month or so:
Alaska Airlines offers its frequent flyers a new way to spend miles and save time at the airport. From now until the end of April, Alaska Airlines Miles members can redeem 10,000 miles to waive the $ 85 application fee for five years of trouble-free travel with TSA pre-screening.
To claim your bonus, you must email [email protected] by April 30, 2016 with your name and mileage plan number. Within 72 hours, they will deduct miles from your account and then send you an email with an authorization code. You will use this code when you apply for TSA PreCheck and make an appointment. Of course, you must ensure that you are eligible before actually redeeming your miles.
